South, Texas – Christian hip hop artist Nerva shares his process for dealing with temptation, foes and peace of mind on “Focus,” his latest single now available at online retailers. The South Florida-bred, South Texas-based artist commits to persevere.
Produced by Juice Bangers, the track mixing melodic and rugged trap elements was inspired by Philippians 13:12-21 and incorporates a prayer. “Lord help me not retreat / Give me the strength that I need / They spread a net for my feet / When it’s enough for all of us to eat,” he raps.
Nerva hopes the message will encourage listeners. “Since no one is exempt from the struggles of life, I hope ‘Focus’ is a soundtrack of inspiration and revelation,” he says. “It’s this idea that the struggles we all face will never compare to the prize ahead, and not to let distractions or discouragement cause us to lose focus.”
“Focus” is a follow up to his single “Broken Wings.” Both will appear on his debut album, Restore, due to be released this year.
