Methodology

These rankings are compiled using data from a variety of sources. Spotify’s public numbers provide the backbone of the rankings. We use these numbers to see the number of listeners per month. We also factor in data from the Billboard rankings as well as how recently the artist released their album. The more recent the album release, the larger the bonus in the rankings they receive. The goal from this is to provide an objective set of rankings based off of available data. An artist’s top 5 songs are given a bonus and the next 5 are used in a less weighted way to compile the backbone of the data. Features and tracks released before 2012 are also considered, but they are given much less weight. If you have any further questions feel free to comment below.

Rap Remnant is dedicated to advance Christian Hip Hop artists’ spiritual development and financial stability. We envision a world where artists are spiritually centered and financially successful.
